Thank you for your interest in adopting an animal from ASR! To adopt any animal from Animal Shelter Relief, please fill out the appropriate adoption application and email it back to the contact below, or bring it to one of our Adoption Events. You may now also Fax your completed application to us! (See number below)

Once your application is reviewed, and approved, you will be contacted by our Foster Coordinator to set up a meeting with the animal in their foster home, or set up a time for the animal to be at one of our adoption events.

Fostering is a rewarding experience, it's all the fun of a pet, without the lifetime commitment!

 What the Adoption Fee includes:

 Cats and kittens:

• Spay/Neuter
• Feline Leukemia and/or Feline AIDS testing
• Current vaccinations
• De-worming
• Microchip and registration
• One free month of pet medical insurance
• Free Veterinary exam at Chanticleer Animal Hospital in Santa Cruz

Dogs and puppies:

• Spay/Neuter
• Current vaccinations (including Rabies)
• De-worming
• Microchip and registration
• One free month of pet medical insurance
• Free Veterinary exam at Chanticleer Animal Hospital in Santa Cruz
• County license*
  

*Santa Cruz County has a mandatory license law for all dogs. The fee is $28 per year (for senior citizens the fee is one time only) and is contingent upon a current Rabies vaccine.
